When people first discover the Sanctuary Collection™, they often notice the beautiful pregnancy boxes, handcrafted teas, herbal soaks, magnesium rollers, and thoughtful gifts tucked inside.
What they don't see is the story behind them.
The Sanctuary Collection was never created because pregnancy needed more products. It was created because pregnancy deserves more care and women deserve to feel supported and seen every step of the journey.
For more than twenty-four years, I had the privilege of standing beside thousands of women as they welcomed their babies into the world. My greatest joy wasn't simply catching babies; it was caring for the women bringing them into the world.
My role at The Center for Birth is very different from my role when I had my own birth center and busy private practice. While I may not be attending births like I used to, my heart never stopped asking the same question I've asked my entire career:
"How can I care for her and make her feel cherished?"
The answer became the Sanctuary Collection. It became my way of continuing to love and care for every Mama who walks through our doors here at The Center for Birth.
Pregnancy Isn't One Long Journey
One of the bits of knowing I have always carried with me since I started serving women three decades ago was that pregnancy isn't a single experience. It unfolds in seasons. The first trimester often brings nausea, exhaustion, uncertainty, and the overwhelming realization that life is changing in a very big way. The second trimester usually brings renewed energy, growing excitement as her body beginning to change in brand new ways, and those little flutters and kicks reminding her of the new life growing within her womb. The third trimester becomes a season of preparation, anticipation, and waiting for the big day. The excitement of labor and birth also brings its own form of uncertainty while she wonders if she prepared enough, when thinking about not only birth, the realities of caring for this tiny human that will be completely dependent on her.
Because each season asks something different of a mother, I believe each season deserved its own thoughtful support. That's why our Sanctuary Boxes grow with you throughout your pregnancy. Each one was intentionally curated to meet you exactly where you are.
Every Detail Was Chosen with Intention
Nothing in the Sanctuary Collection was selected by accident. Every item earned its place. I chose organic teas because what a woman puts into her body begins to matter to her more once she knows she’s pregnant. Our herbal soaks were thoughtfully created to complement each stage of pregnancy, offering comfort when women often need it most.
One of our magnesium rollers was intentionally left unscented because I know how sensitive many women become to fragrance during pregnancy, especially during the first trimester. Even the lavender I chose wasn't added simply because it smells beautiful. It was chosen because generations of women have found comfort in its calming, soothing qualities during seasons of physical and emotional change. Further, some items lavender was intentionally left out because I also understand that not every woman loves the lavender scent. Every ingredient, every affirmation, every ribbon, every box was carefully chosen, created, and placed together by a midwife's hands that caught thousands of babies and held just as many women during their journey into motherhood.
Every choice began with the same question. "Will this genuinely make her pregnancy feel a little easier, a little more peaceful, or a little more supported?"
If the answer was yes... It stayed.
Care That Continues After You Leave
One of the questions we often ask ourselves at The Center for Birth is: "What happens after today's appointment?"
When a woman goes home still feeling nauseated...
When she wakes up at two o'clock in the morning and sleep eludes her...
When her back aches after a long day...
When she's counting kicks...
When she's waiting for labor to begin...
How can we continue caring for her, even when she isn't sitting in an appointment with one of her midwives? The Sanctuary Collection became one answer to that question. Not because products replace people. But because thoughtful care can continue long after an appointment ends.
Thoughtfully Affordable
One of the decisions we made early on was that we never wanted the Sanctuary Collection to feel exclusive. These weren't meant to become luxury items reserved for a few families. They were created to extend our care. That's why we've intentionally priced them to remain affordable. If you are already part of our Center for Birth family, we offer them at an even lower price simply because you are already part of our story. We hope every family who opens one of our boxes feels like they're receiving something that was prepared especially for them. Because they were.
More Than Products
The Sanctuary Collection has never been about tea, or magnesium, or herbal soaks, or beautiful packaging. It's about helping women feel seen. It reminds mothers to slow down. To rest. To breathe. To receive care during a season when they're often so busy caring for everyone else, they forget their bodies are doing something miraculous. Perhaps that's why creating this collection has meant so much to me personally.
While I may not stand beside every laboring mother the way I once did, I still wanted every family to know that someone was thinking of them and wanted them to feel loved and supported . That someone anticipated what they might need. That someone cared enough to prepare it before they ever walked through our doors. Maybe that's what the Sanctuary Collection really is. A quiet reminder that you are not walking this journey alone.
